SpinLync Privacy Policy

SpinLync ("we", "us", "our") is operated as a sole trader business in Melbourne, Australia.

What We Collect

Account information: name and email address if you create an account.

Content you submit: any blog posts, transcripts, or other text you paste in to be repurposed, plus the AI-generated outputs, saved to your in-app history.

Brand voice settings: any description, keywords, or tone preferences you set in Profile.

Usage data: which formats and features you use, to enforce free-tier limits.

How We Use It

To generate your requested content repurposing outputs via Google's Gemini API
To personalise outputs to your saved brand voice
To enforce free-tier usage limits (5 repurposes/month) and prevent abuse

Content Ownership

You retain full ownership of any content you submit and any output SpinLync generates for you. We do not claim rights to your content. Submitted content is sent to Google's Gemini API solely to generate your requested output and is not used to train Google's or our own models beyond that immediate request, per Google's standard API data handling terms.

Where It's Stored

App data (history, brand voice, usage counts) is stored locally on your device (AsyncStorage). Content you submit is processed through our secure server and Gemini API and is not permanently retained on our servers after your result is generated.

Your Rights

Delete any saved repurpose from History at any time, or clear all history from the History tab. Under Australia's Privacy Act 1988, you have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of any personal information we hold. Contact hello@spinlync.com for any privacy request.

Third-Party Services

SpinLync uses: Google Gemini (AI processing), Vercel (server hosting), RevenueCat and Apple/Google (subscription billing).

Children's Privacy

SpinLync is not directed at children under 16.

AI-Generated Content Disclaimer

SpinLync generates content using AI based on what you provide. Always review AI-generated content for factual accuracy, tone, and appropriateness before publishing. SpinLync is a writing assistant, not a fact-checker or legal reviewer.

International Users

SpinLync is operated from Australia and available globally. Content you submit is processed on infrastructure operated by our service providers (Vercel, Google), which may be located outside your country, including in the United States. Wherever you are located, we honour requests to access, correct, or delete your personal information — contact hello@spinlync.com regardless of your jurisdiction.
